How I help

Therapy that explains the why, then helps you figure out the how. Everything is built around how your brain actually works.

Three parts of the work

Understand the why

We look at how your brain and nervous system respond to stress, and how your experiences shaped your patterns. For example: why a small comment can send you spiraling for a whole day.

Figure out the how

We turn that understanding into tools you can use. For example: a way to notice overwhelm early and get back to steady before it takes over.

Shape a life that fits

We look at what’s around you, like schedules, spaces and expectations, and change what isn’t working. For example: a homework or work routine that fits your energy instead of fighting it.

What a session looks like

  • A 50-minute video session. Most people start weekly or every two weeks, then we set the pace together.
  • Talking, plus simple explanations and visuals of what’s happening in the brain.
  • Something small and realistic to try before next time, never a long homework list.

The approaches behind it, in plain words

  • Trauma-informed care: safety, choice and collaboration, always.
  • Neuroscience, explained simply: what your brain is doing and why.
  • Mindfulness that isn’t just “breathe”: noticing what’s happening in your body and mind.
  • Executive functioning strategies: practical systems for starting, planning and following through.
  • ACT and CBT tools: evidence-based skills, tailored to you.

Who I work with

  • Tweens and teens, 11 and up
  • College students and young adults
  • Adults up to 40 who are ready to take control
