Does this sound like you?

  • Things feel harder for you than they seem to for everyone else.
  • Your emotions go from 0 to 100, and you’re not sure why.
  • You know what you need to do. You just can’t make yourself start.
  • Everything is changing, and the ground feels shaky.

If “just try harder” worked, it would’ve worked by now.

Nothing’s wrong with you. You might just be using the wrong manual. Let’s figure out what works for you.

How we’ll work together

Understand the why

We explore what’s happening beneath the surface: how your brain and nervous system respond to stress, and how your experiences shape your patterns.

Figure out the how

Understanding isn’t always enough. We build practical tools for big emotions, boundaries, everyday responsibilities and getting back to steady.

Shape a life that fits

Sometimes change means adjusting what’s around you, not just yourself, especially for brains that don’t fit the manual you’ve been given.

What I help with

For ages 11 to 40, with a focus on teens and young adults, and for brains that think, feel and focus in their own way. First time in therapy? Tried it and it didn’t click? Ready to dive in? Welcome.

Hi, I’m Sierra.

I’m direct, curious and on your side. I’ll explain why your brain does what it does, and then we’ll figure out what actually helps. You set the pace. You’re the expert on your own life.

This isn’t my first career. I came to therapy after working in business, and that path taught me that growth isn’t linear and there’s no universal timeline for figuring things out.

More about me

Getting started

  1. A free consultation call

Up to 20 minutes to talk about what’s bringing you in and whether we’re a good fit. No pressure.

  2. Your first session

First sessions can feel overwhelming. I get it. It’s the most formal one we’ll have, which is saying something, because formal isn’t my style. Questionnaires ahead of time help us get to the real conversation faster.

  3. Ongoing support

You don’t need a total overhaul. One degree at a time is enough.

Questions people often ask

I’ve never done therapy. What happens in a first session?

Before we meet, I’ll send a few short questionnaires through the secure client portal. In the session, we’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, a bit of your history and what you want to be different. You don’t need perfect answers, and you can ask me anything.

Therapy didn’t help before. Why would this be different?

I can’t promise it will be, but I do things differently. I explain the why behind what you’re feeling, we build tools that fit how your brain works, and we check in on what’s helping. If I’m not the right fit, I’ll help you find someone who is.

Do I need a diagnosis to work with you?

No. Some people come in with a diagnosis like ADHD or anxiety, and many don’t. If you plan to use a superbill for insurance reimbursement, insurance requires a diagnosis code, and we’ll talk about that together.

How does privacy work for teens?

In Colorado, young people 12 and older can consent to their own therapy, and what they share is confidential. The exceptions are safety concerns, like imminent risk of harm to themselves or others, or suspected abuse, which I’m required to report. When it’s safe, I’ll encourage teens to involve their parents, and we’ll decide together what to share. Read about Colorado’s Youth Mental Health Act.
